Who We Are
The Power of One Foundation began in 2020 by Mackenzie Rauenzahn (Morris). As a single mom, Mackenzie had a passion to help other families that were struggling financially to access necessary resources to give their children a life they never thought possible. Using sports as a vessel, Mackenzie believed that given the right leadership and various levels of support, that higher education opportunities and character growth could be attainable for the youth of lower income families.
Additionally, the Power of One Foundation and its members joined forces to not only support the youth athletes of the Pikes Peak Region, but also the youth in lower income elementary schools. Their community outreach projects span from providing winter coats and hats to Christmas presents to over 1,000 elementary students annually.
The Power of One Foundation has helped multiple athletes in low income families receive athletic and academic scholarships, grow their character, and become community leaders. They’ve provided meals for hundreds of families, and have worked to fight against educational barriers of inequity in our city.
The Power of One Board of Directors serve alongside Mackenzie with the same heart, dedication, and passion for these youth and families. Their ideas, skills, and leadership are the heartbeat of this nonprofit. Together, they breed hope and brighter futures.
